GC Public Schools to hold reading challenge over break

GARDEN CITY, Kan. — Garden City Public Schools will hold a “12 Days of Reading Challenge” each day during the winter break starting on Wednesday, December 26th.  Families can following the school district on its social media sites and watch for the reading challenge for that day.  Families are encouraged to post a picture of your student completing the challenge to be entered into a drawing for a prize.  Parents can find the district’s social media sites by going to www.gckschools.com the links to the sites are at the bottom of the website.

Garden City Public Schools will be out for winter vacation Friday, December 21, 2018, through Monday, January 7, 2019.  All district facilities, including the Educational Support Center, will be closed for the holiday break at noon on Friday, December 21, 2018, through Tuesday, January 1, 2019.

The Educational Support Center will be open with regular business hours on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.  There will be a teacher workday held on Monday, January 7, 2019.  Classes will be back in session on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.
