GARDEN CITY, Kan. — The 23rd Annual Garden City High School Broadcasting, Debate, and Forensics Telethon will be held Monday April 15th, from 4:00 – 10:00 p.m.  The live broadcast will be aired on the Buffalo Broadcasting System (BBS-TV Channel 21) as well as simulcast on KBFZ 101.7 FM and streamed on the Garden City High School Buffaloes YouTube channel.

The six-hour telecast will showcase the talents of students involved in the GCHS broadcasting, debate and forensics programs.  The telethon will include debate rounds, acting events, and news reports.  All of the activities in the telethon will be student written, performed, or produced.

The GCHS broadcasting, debate, and forensics programs are committed to helping this community’s students learn to use communication skills effectively.  Communication skills are a vital part of being successful in today’s society.

The telethon exists not only as a showcase for the talents and skills of the students in these programs; it is also a fundraiser that the programs use for equipment, travel, and additional competition opportunities.
