Scott City’s Kaden Wren signs with Fort Hays State Track & Field

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Scott City’s Kaden Wren had two sports he could have picked to compete in at the next level. A two-time state finalist in wrestling, and a member of the two-time state championship track team, Wren picked track. On Wednesday, he made it official, signing with Fort Hays State University on a track & field scholarship.

Wren, who did not compete in track his freshman year after coming off shoulder surgery, has excelled on the track over the past two seasons. His sophomore season, he was a member of the state champion 4×100 and 4×800 relays, which helped the Beavers win a state title.

In his junior season, Wren would help Scott City score 101 points at the Class 3A State Track & Field championships, placing second in the 400m Dash, fourth in the 800m Run, helped the 4×800 Relay team place second, and was on the state meet record breaking 4×400 Relay team.

At Fort Hays State, Wren will run on the indoor and outdoor team. His major will be in financial planning and accounting.
