Lady Beaver tennis third at Ellsworth

Ellsworth, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Scott City Lady Beaver tennis team made their way to Ellsworth Thursday afternoon to compete in the five-team tennis meet. Playing with adjustments to their lineup, the Lady Beavers would take third place overall.

Salina South won the meet with 32 points, and Ellsworth was second with 23, while Scott City had 20 points.

Bella Myers finished first at No. 2 Singles, while placing third were Malorie Cupp at No. 1 Singles, and the No. 1 Doubles team of Rhiley Stoppel/Madison Westergard. Finishing fourth at No. 2 Doubles was Brynna Burnett/Laia Mur.

Scott City will play on their home court next week, as they will be in the first-ever GWAC Tennis meet at 10 am, and host the 3-2-1A Regional meet next Friday and Saturday, October 9 and 10.
