Scott City softball starts season with sweep of Ulysses

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–It has been two years since Scott City put a team on the field for competition. There were many unknowns on Tuesday afternoon in the season opener for the Lady Beavers, as they opened their 2021 campaign up with the Ulysses Lady Tigers. It would be a good day for Scott City, as they would pick up a sweep with wins of 14-0 and 12-2, with both games ending in the fifth inning.

Scott City 14, Ulysses 0, Game 1
Scott City would take advantage of 12 walks in the first game and dominated despite having just six hits. The Lady Beavers would lead 3-0 after the first inning, and open the game up with eight runs in the second inning to take an 11-0 lead.
