Scott City golf fifth in Colby

Colby, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Scott City golf team played in their second golf meet in three days on Thursday, as they made the trek to Meadow Lake Golf Course in Colby for the Colby Invitational. Scott City would finish in fifth place out of 11 schools in the meet.

Hoxie won the meet with a team score of 349, while Colby was second with 358 and Oberlin was third with 368. The Beavers had a team score of 399. 

Kale Wheeler led the way for Scott City, earning an eighth place finish with a score of 85, Conner Armendariz was tied for 24th with a round of 98, and Dylan Metzger was 40th with a 107. Also competing were Cauy Vance placing 45th with a score of 109, Tracer Chapman tying for 50th with a 112, and Cooper Wright tied for 54th, shooting a 118. 

Scott City will return to Colby next Thursday for the Great West Activities Conference Meet.
