Several area teams, wrestlers ranked in new polls
Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Fresh off their first weekend of wrestling after the holiday break, the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association released their latest rankings.
Garden City has moved up in the polls to No. 3 with nine individual wrestlers ranked, while Dodge City is fourth in Class 6A with five wrestlers ranked. Scott City remains in the Class 4A polls at No. 10, and has three wrestlers ranked. Ulysses also has one wrestler ranked. In Class 3-2-1A, there are no area teams ranked in the top 10, but Wichita County has two ranked wrestlers.
For the girls, Dodge City is fourth with six ranked wrestlers and Garden City is No. 7 in the Class 6-5A rankings with five ranked wrestlers. In Class 4-1A, Lakin is fifth with two ranked wrestlers. Scott City also has one girl ranked.
