Rumford signs with Barton CC volleyball

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Ella Rumford was a part of one of the top four-year runs in Scott City volleyball history. A four-year starter and contributor to the Lady Beaver program, Rumford made it official on Tuesday, and signed her letter of intent to play volleyball at Barton Community College.

Her last three years saw Scott City compete in two sub-state title games, and finish in the top two in GWAC play two of the three years, including a league title in 2019. 

Over the past three seasons, Rumford tallied 625 kills, 77 blocks, 83 aces and held a serve percentage of 93%. She earned all-league honors in 2021. 

Rumford is projected to play middle hitter for the Lady Cougars, and majoring in dental hygiene or nursing.
