GARDEN CITY, Kan (WesternKansasNews.Com) – In the wake of a series of fatal accidents this last week, Kansas’ secretary of transportation is begging drivers to slow down and wear their seatbelts. “ Last year 427 people died on Kansas roads,“ Secretary Julie Lorenz said. The Ford County Sheriff’s office says two of the three children killed in a crash there over the weekend did not have their seatbelts on.
