Charles Stones Principal Named Region 4 Middle School Principal of the Year

GARDEN CITY, Kan (WesternKansasNews.Com) – Amy Ricks, Charles O. Stones Intermediate Center principal, was selected as the Principal of the Year for Region 4 by the Kansas Principals Association. The Kansas Principals Association Principal of the Year program “recognizes outstanding middle level and high school principals who have succeeded in providing high-quality learning opportunities for students as well as demonstrating exemplary contributions to the profession.”

“I am truly honored in receiving this recognition. I couldn’t do it without the hard work and dedication of all of our great staff, the parents and especially the students, who we are here for each day,”  Ricks said.

She will now move on for consideration to be the Kansas Distinguished Principal of the Year and if selected will then be in the running for National Principal of the Year.

“We are very proud of this great recognition for her effort and dedication to the staff and students at her school,” said Dr. Steve Karlin, USD 457 superintendent.
