Several area golfers compete in Goodland

Goodland, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Tuesday saw the return of girls golf to the area, as several area schools made their way to the Goodland Golf Invitational at Sugar Hills. Colby would dominate the field, as they won with a team score of 380, while Goodland was second with a score of 428 and Hugoton came in third with a score of 434. Scott City was fifth, Ulysses sixth, Lakin seventh, Holcomb was ninth and Stanton County was 10th.

Individually, Colby’s Anna Starbuck won the meet with an 18-hole round of 83, and Hugoton’s Danica Amerin was second with a score of 87.
