Red Cross hosting virtual hiring event for full-time, mobile blood collection staff in Garden City

Garden City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com) — The American Red Cross is looking for new members of its biomedical team in Garden City and will host a virtual hiring event to interview candidates on Nov. 9.

As a member of our blood collection staff, you’ll collect lifesaving blood donations from our volunteer donors and ensure they have the best experience possible. Your driving experience will assist us with transporting equipment and setting up at the collection sites throughout the local community.

The Red Cross is pleased to offer $3,000 in total bonuses for staff hired through this event – a $1,500 hiring bonus paid at 60 days on the job and $750 retention bonuses paid at six months and one year. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and customer service experience. No health care experience is required. The Red Cross offers paid training, and the starting rate for this position is $16 an hour.
