Cross Country State Champion Recap | Interviews with Kamryn Golub, Chesney Peterson, and Brenden Ellis

Garden City, Kan (WesternKansasNews.Com) – The western part of Kansas had a great weekend at state across all levels last Saturday. No one did better though than the three individual champions our area boasted.

In the boy’s 2A race Stanton County’s Kamryn Golub finished in 1st with a time of 16:56.65.

On the girl’s side, Stanton County’s Chesney Peterson finished in 1st with a time of 18:19.11.

Then in the 1A boy’s race, Ingall’s Brenden Ellis finished with a 16:50.13 to become the 2nd individual state champ in Ingalls school history and the first in cross country.

All of the champions joined Baylen Hite on the Morning Roundup to talk about their success and what their futures hold.
