Scott City man arrested following domestic disturbance

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Scott City man was arrested on Wednesday night, after a domestic disturbance call.

Just after 7:45 pm Wednesday, November 29, Officers with the Scott City Police Department were dispatched to the 500 block of North Washington Street for a domestic disturbance. When the Officer arrived at the residence the suspect had already fled on foot. During the investigation, a Scott County Sheriff’s Deputy found the suspect walking in the area. A short foot pursuit ensued before the suspect was tased. The suspect continued to resist arrest and fight with law enforcement officers.
 
The suspect, 40-year-old Kristofer Eugene Lauber of Scott City, was arrested for Domestic Battery, Battery on Law Enforcement Officer, Criminal Threat against a Law Enforcement Officer, and Interference with LEO. Lauber was transported to the Scott County Jail and the case has been referred to the Scott County Attorney for prosecution.
