Woman arrested in prostitution and blackmail allegations
Garden City, Kan.–Garden City Police have arrested a woman on allegations of prostitution and blackmail.
According to the release, 21-year-old Meriya Reyes faces charges from the investigation.
On April 22, Officers received a report of blackmail and began an investigation. Through the investigation, Officers learned that Reyes engaged in sexual conduct with several victims for money, then threatened them with legal action in exchange for more money.
On Tuesday, Reyes was arrested in the 1900 block of E. Kansas Avenue. Reyes was lodged in the Finney County Jail for Blackmail and Selling Sexual Relations.
The investigation is ongoing.
