Traffic Death in Kearny County
Lakin, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Kearny County sheriff’s department reports a 46 year old man died from injuries he sustain in a single vehicle accident on US Highway 50 two miles east of Lakin. The driver identified as Michael Perez of Lakin was involved in a rollover accident about 2:30 Tuesday morning. Perez was taken to Kearny County hospital where attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. Sheriff’s deputies believe speeding caused the accident and that Perez wasn’t wearing his seatbelt.
