Ulysses Sweeps; Garden City Volleyball Goes 2-1 on Senior Night

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Playing three games in one night can test your endurance as a volleyball player.  It did not take long for Garden City to pass.  The Lady Buffs trailed 10-0 in the first game to (29-2) Ulysses came back only to lose 25-23 and drop their match to the Tigers in three games.  Still Garden City had to be pleased with two game wins over Scott City and rival Dodge City.  Adding a little more to the pressure of closing out the regular season, it was senior night.

Sydney Bellows was one of four seniors honored last night.  Ulysses Head Coach Courtney Eslick complemented Garden City and the way Buffs star Ericka Schafer played.

Ulysses Kyann Eslick had some positive reinforcement when she was worn down.

As for Dodge City (1-2 on the night) they could never get back on track.  After a hard fought two game win against Scott City, DC lost 25-16 and 25-15 to Garden.  Head Coach Krystle Gasiwck wants her team to start believing in themselves.

Conference tournaments begin next week.  One advantage for Garden is they will host this year.
