K-State Catbackers Tour made traditional stop in Scott City

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Known as one of the biggest stops on the Catbackers Tour, the Scott City Catbackers hosted the 52nd annual K-State Fry Wednesday night west of Scott City at HRC Feedyard. The event was day three of the five-day western Kansas swing, that brought hundreds of K-State fans from all over western Kansas. 

Guests included the “Voice of the Wildcats” Wyatt Thompson, as well as Head Football Coach Bill Snyder, Head Men’s Basketball Coach Bruce Weber, and Head Women’s Basketball Coach Jeff Mittie. Also student-athletes from football included Travis Britz, Colborn Couchman, Boston Stiverson and Stanton Weber, Justin Edwards and DJ Johnson from men’s basketball, Jessica Sheble and Kendrid Wesemann from the women’s basketball team, and volleyball was represented by Makenzie Holcomb and Kelsey Schroll. 

Items were auctioned off during the evening to benefit the Ahearn Fund benefiting K-State Athletics.
