Raymond Dale Yakel, 68, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Wamego Health Center in Wamego. He was born September 24, 1946 at Lakin to parents Fred & Edith (Stitt) Yakel. He married Karen Ward on June 15, 1969 at Lakin.

Raymond served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. In 2009 he retired after working 40 years for Kinder Morgan Gas Company. He could fix anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He also did backhoe work and custom harvesting and trucking. He enjoyed his work and loved spending time with his family. He recently moved to Wamego. He was preceded in death by his Parents and 7 Brothers and Sisters.
