Connie Hefner, 82, died November 30, 2016 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. She was born on November 26, 1934 at Vici, Oklahoma the daughter of Cliff and Ruth (Knittel) Green. 

Connie was a 1952 graduate of Holtville High School in Holtville, California. On August 23, 1953 she married Sparky Hefner in Holtville. A longtime resident of Cimarron, she worked at Nicolet’s Clothing for 15 years and enjoyed being a homemaker and tending to her flowers. Connie especially enjoyed spending time with her family, building woodwork toys for her grandchildren, painting, and most recently, coloring.

She attended the Cimarron United Methodist Church and was a member of the Home Culture Club of Cimarron.

Connie is survived by her husband, Sparky Hefner of Cimarron, two daughters, Robin Hamilton and husband Rusty of Lubbock, Texas, Stevie Coles and husband Joe of Cimarron and son Russell Hefner and wife Terry of Lindsborg; seven grandchildren, Mindy Hamilton, Brandon Hamilton, Joni Watikins and husband Justin, Jara Wilson and husband Chris, Jay Coles and wife Kaylee, Nikie Rogers and husband Brandon and Chock Hefner and wife Sally; twelve great grandchildren; three sisters, Pat Chiesi of Fresno, California, Mona Boren of Camargo, Oklahoma, and Lynette York of Corona, California. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Darwin “Buddy” Green.

Funeral service will be held at the Cimarron United Methodist Church on Monday December 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mike Keating presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Cimarron on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from Noon to 3:00 PM with the family there to receive friends.
