Ultimately Wheeler Felt Tax Bill Was Needed; Approved Plan

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) In attempts to balance the budget and despite concerns from Governor Sam Brownback the Kansas House has approved a bill which is expected to increase revenue by 1.2 billion dollars. Representative John Wheeler of Garden City says this bill adds to the state coffers in two ways.

The proposal still has to clear the Kansas Senate and be signed by the governor.

The Kansas Senate approved the House Tax Bill 22-18.  The measure now moves to the Governor’s desk for his signature.
