Lorina Marie Gillen
Lorina Marie Gillen, age 89, formerly of Ulysses, passed from this earth on April 2, 2017, at her home in Namaste House in Farmington, New Mexico. She was born on June 3, 1927, in LaGrande, Oregon, the daughter of Charles and Bonita Witty.
Lorina married Herbert Nash Gillen on August 30, 1948, he preceeded her in death along with her parents Charles and Bonita Witty.
She was mother to Barbara (Marvin) Moore of Farmington, New Mexico, Colleen (Jim, deceased) Harms of Wichita, Kansas, Bruce (Rhonda) of Edgewood, New Mexico, Richard of Ontario, Oregon, John (PJ) of Farmington, New Mexico, Alice (Armando) Borja of Westminster, Colorado, and Shari (Bill) Howard of Bloomfield, New Mexico. She also had eight grandchildren, Greg (Ann) Harms of Wichita, Kansas, Trisha (Daniel) Logan of Wichita, Kansas, Melinda (Tim) Wise of Lebanon, Ohio, Jeff (Liz) Harms of Johnson, Kansas, Timothy Gillen of Edgewood, New Mexico, John (Chelsea) Gillen of Sterling, Kansas, Allen Moore of Farmington, New Mexico, Thomas Howard of Bloomfield, New Mexico, and Lauren Howard of Bloomfield, New Mexico, and nine great-grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, and Caleb Harms, Blake and Ashlyn Logan, Alexander and Wesley Wise, and Elijah and Jocelyn Harms.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Country View Baptist Church in Ulysses, Kansas with Pastor James Berry officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, April 7, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home.
