Three seniors lead Scott City Girls Tennis team

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Playing up a classification opened the eyes of the Scott City girls tennis team. After qualifying a doubles team for state in 2016, the Lady Beavers will look to continue their state streak.

The 2017 tennis squad features 19 players, with only three that are seniors. Coach Cheryl Kucharik enters her seventh year as the girls tennis coach.

This year, they will see a beefed up schedule, and it occurs right off the bat. In order to be more prepared for the Class 4A competition, they will start off at Wichita Collegiate and Hays on the varsity side. After four practices, you can tell this year’s team is ready for the challenge.
