EIA causing economic impact in Finney County

Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Eight in horses in Finney County and Keaney county have tested positive for Equine Infectios Anemia over the last few weeks.

The news has had economic impact on Finney County according to Finney Co fairgrounds director Angie Clark.

There are concerns about the high school rodeo event at the fairgrounds Sept 23 and 24, but Clark says right now they are okay to host the event.

The high school rodeo event generates $4,500 just in stall rentals and additional sales for retail and hotels.
