Finney Co. Commission trying to address health plan concerns

Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) The Finney County Commissioners held a regular meeting Monday. The commission got an update on the direction of the state from area state legislators John Wheeler, Russ Jennings, John Doll and Leonard Mastroni.

The commissioners also spent a lot of time on the county health plan. The HCA regulations have restricted what the county can do according to commissioner Dr. Bill Clifford.

Because of those problems the commissioners did vote to make a change according to Clifford.

Employees will still have a $300 deductible, but if they go to the emergency room they’ll pay a $200 co-pay  up front. Emergencies that lead to hospitalization will still be fully covered.
