US 50 East of Garden City back open after injury accident
(westernkansasnews.com) U.S. Highway 50 East of Garden City to Cimarron is now back open after being closed since Wednesday morning. The accident occurred at 10:13 at milepost 86 west bound. (U50 at Road 4) A semi was westbound on U50 and slowed to turn southbound onto County Road 4. Vehicle 1 was westbound behind the semi. Vehicle 1 rear-ended the semi.
The driver of vehicle one a 17 year old Garden City male was flown to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for his injuries. His status was not known. The driver of the semi Cory Loewen, 22, of Garden City was uninjured.
