U.S. 400 east of Dodge City closed for four days

Dodge City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Kansas Department of Transportation-Southwest Kansas has announced that U.S. 400 will be closed for four days beginning today, until Saturday, July 8th.

The closure is due to railroad crossing repairs at the Cargill packing plant one mile east of Dodge City.

Westbound traffic will use a marked detour starting at U.S. 54 east of Mullinville westbound to Minneola, then north to U.S. 283/56/400 south junction. Eastbound will use the same route starting at U.S. 283/56/400 south junction south to Minneola, then east on U.S. 54 to Mullinville 400/54 merge. The U.S. 400/56/283 north junction at Trail St. in Dodge City will be open for local destinations only.
