GARDEN CITY, KS. – Buff Talk returned from Old Chicago Pizza and Taphouse on Monday.

The show opened with new boys basketball head coach, Luke Swedberg, who joins from Dordt University. Swedberg talked about some of the lessons that he learned about player relationships at Dordt, and what it takes to build this high school program.

The Buffaloes open the season in December, coming off a 20-2 campaign last season.

Buffaloes football earned their first win of the season on Friday, beating up on Wichita North, 70-15. Football head coach Brian Hill joined Buff talk to discuss his team’s dominant performance and week in practice, including some standouts from the win over the RedHawks.

One of those standouts was quarterback Ethan Gomez, who recorded four touchdowns in the win. Gomez joined along with safety Evan Finch to discuss their team’s start to the season, and some of their favorite things off the field.

Big thank you’s go out to Old Chicago for their great hospitality, to coaches Swedberg and Hill, and Ethan Gomez and Evan Finch for joining the show. Buff Talk airs every Monday at 6:30 P.M. on KWKR 99.9 ‘The Rock’.
