Colby takes Scott City Golf Invitational

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–On a warm and breezy Thursday afternoon in Scott City, nine teams made up of the Scott City Girls Golf Invitational held at the Scott Community Golf Course.

The 18-hole tournament saw the Colby Lady Eagles win the meet by 24 shots over runner-up Goodland, while Syracuse finished in third place. Colby’s Anna Starbuck won by 15 shots over Goodland’s Alli Cure. Lakin’s Alli Mead was the top area golfer, as she placed sixth.
