Garden City Police looking for armed robbery suspect
Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Garden City Police Department is seeking the assistance of the community in locating a suspect from an armed robbery that occurred Saturday.
Around 1:30 p.m., Officers were dispatched to Joyeria America, located at 308 E. Fulton Street for an armed robbery that occurred. The investigation revealed that an unknown man entered the business, held the victim at gunpoint, and demanded money and jewelry. The suspect forcibly moved the victim throughout the business during the crime before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of property.
At the time of the incident, the suspect was described as a Hispanic male of medium build, wearing a black coat and face mask. The suspect left the area on foot in an unknown direction of travel.
