Former golf superintendent elected into Pro-Am Hall (Audio)

Garden City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-What often goes unrecognized and unnoticed when you tee off in a tournament at Buffalo Dunes golf course, is literally the work that goes on behind the scenes. Maintenance crews spend hours upon hours prepping the greens and the fairways for use. For nearly three decades, the man responsible for the most gorgeous playing surface in the Sunflower State was Bob Bluml.

Bluml spent 28 years maintaining the facilities-setting a precedent that’s been followed up strongly today. For his outstanding service, Bluml became the fifth member of the Southwest Pro-Am Hall of Fame on Wednesday night during an induction ceremony at the Clarion Inn.
