Eileen Gaskill

Eileen Gaskill, 90, died February 27, 2015 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City, Kansas. She was born on August 17, 1924 at Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of William J. and Ayliff M.(Keiser) Maring. 

She married Donald L. Gaskill Sr. on July 17, 1947 at Greeley, Colorado, he preceded her in death on July 31, 1994. Mrs. Gaskill owned and operated Gaskill Department Store in Ulysses, Kansas with her husband for many years before moving to Dodge City and going to work for the Chaffin family. She loved spending time with her family, and really enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s activities. 

She was a member of the St. Cornelius Episcopal Church of Dodge City, Eastern Star of Ulysses, Kansas, and the PEO of Dodge City. 

Survivors include two sons Greg Gaskill and wife Sheri of Dodge City; Donald Gaskill Jr. and wife Debra of Ozawkie, Kansas and one daughter Kathy Jo Stuart and husband Terry of Ulysses, Kansas. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Gaskill Sr. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to St. Cornelius Episcopal Church in care of the funeral home.
