Hugoton sweeps GWAC Cross Country races
Goodland, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–It was a sweep for the Hugoton Eagle boys and girls on Thursday at Sugar Hills Country Club in Goodland. On a windy afternoon, the Hugoton Boys were dominant once again, winning by 31 points over Scott City, while on the girls side, the Lady Eagles claimed the title by 11 points over defending champion Scott City. Both the boys and girls races saw repeat champions. In the boys race, Isaac Castro won the GWAC title by 18 seconds over Alex Barbosa of Ulysses, while Andrea Browne of Colby repeated, by winning by over a minute over Scott City’s Makaela Stevens.
