James H. Stewart, 68, died Friday, October 9, 2015 at Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita. 

He was born December 9, 1946 at Grason County, Texas, the son of Joseph Clyde and LenaMae (Sharber) Stewart Idell. James was a resident of Kansas since 2000 moving from New Mexico. 

James enjoyed cars, his cattle, giving friends a hard time, riding motorcycles, playing golf and especially all of his grandchildren. He was a journeyman Linesman for 35 years and worked on the Super train in Connecticut. 

On March 9, 1968 he married Betty McGee at Clayton, New Mexico. She Survives. 

Other survivors include: son, Kevin Wayne Stewart, Albuquerque, New Mexico; 3 daughters, Krystal Leigh Blackburn, Alexander, Kansas, Kendra Ann Durbin, Ransom, Kansas, Karrie May Stewart-Allen, Elkton, Oregon; 3 brothers, Joseph Ray Stewart and wife Lori, Corn, Oklahoma, Milton “Cookie” Idell and wife Tilda, Harold, Texas, Jason Wayne Idell and wife Jennife, Wichita, Kansas; 13 grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister, Barbara Joyce Waggoner, brother, Jerry Clyde Stewart. 

Memorial service will be 2:00 pm Friday October 16, 2015 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, with Pastor Kirk Larson presiding. There will be no public visitation, cremation has taken place. There will be a book signing Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.
