Lady Buffs Soccer routs Guymon
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-In her first three years as a varsity player, Amber Miller never enjoyed an opening-game victory.
After Tuesday night, she can finally cross that off her list.
Miller scored five goals, Tiffany Butler added two, and Garden City rolled to a 9-0 victory over Guymon at Buffalo Stadium.
“It feels amazing,” Miller said afterwards. “I’ve never won an opening game. It feels amazing.
Garden City scored four goals in the first half and five in the second. Miller, Butler and Ana Gomez put the Buffaloes on top at the break.
Miller then scored three goals in the first 11 minutes of the second stanza before Butler and Jessica Adame finished off the scoring for Garden City.
