Battle of Badges Blood Drive Goes Down to Wire
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Battle of the Badges blood drive was a smashing success. Thursday’s event was held at the Clarion Inn in Garden City. Participating agencies included Finney County Sheriff’s Office, Fire, Garden City Police and Emergency Medical Services. Volunteer MacKinzie Woodyard has seen the hunger to win from all involved.
Medical Technician Beckie Hetrick of Garden City always makes it a point to donate and there’s another reason giving blood is so important right now.
As of the end of the drive the Sheriff’s Office had a slight lead on the Fire Department.
