Scott City wrestling repeats as Hoxie Tournament Champions

Hoxie, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–In the first weekend of competition, there are plenty of unknowns on how a team is going to perform. Saturday in Hoxie, the Scott City Beavers took the tournament title for a second consecutive year, holding off the Oakley Plainsmen.The Beavers finished with 129.5 points, while the Plainsmen finished with 118 points. Cimarron finished in third with 99 points. Scott City and Lakin finished with three individual champions, while Cimarron had two, and Hugoton had one.
