Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Ed O’Malley, who is hoping to run for Governor in 2018, had to cancel his town hall scheduled for Tuesday night in Garden City due to the severe weather in the area. O’Malley will return to Finney County at a later date.

We caught up with O’Malley by phone yesterday and he told us what he hopes to gain from these town hall meetings.

He also told us his thoughts on the state’s current financial problems.

O’Malley has a diverse background, he is currently the CEO and President of the Kansas Leadership Center. He began his career as an aide to Kansas Governor Bill Graves and as a staff member for the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce. He was twice elected to the Kansas House of Representatives for District 24. He has also helped author multiple books.
