All-WAC wrestling teams announced
Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) The All-WAC awards and teams were announced on Tuesday. Dodge City Head Coach Lars Leuders was named Coach of the Year, guiding the Red Demons to a 3-1 conference record. Garden City’s Jacob Holt was named the Wrestler of the Year after finishing 2nd in the state at 126 pounds this past weekend.
Garden City had seven selections to the first team:

120 Diego Hernandez
126 Jacob Holt
132 Kaj Perez
138 Malachi Salas
145 Trey Medina
170 Alex Rodriguez
Dodge City had two selections on the first team, Anthony Mariche at 106 pounds and Evan Darville, who finished 2nd at State, at 285.
On the second team the Buffaloes Steven Sellers was a selected at 106 pounds. The Red Demons had three selections, Cisco Soto at 138 pounds, Jashon Taylor at 160 and Ansony Quezada at 195.
Garden City finished the season on Saturday finishing 5th in the team standings at State. Dodge City finished 11th.
