Lady Beaver volleyball squad gaining valuable experience this summer

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–After their second 25-plus win season, the Scott City Lady Beaver volleyball team has been looking at filling the holes of four seniors, who have been instrumental in the recent turnaround in the program. This summer has been full of volleyball for the Lady Beavers, as they continue their preparations for the 2018 season.

From spending their Monday’s in the Hays Summer League, to their team camp in June in their home confines, the team has gotten plenty of court time, aiding in getting experience for the upcoming season.

Later on in July, the varsity team will head to the University of Nebraska for a team camp.

This year’s schedule will find some changes to it from recent seasons. While they will begin their season August 24 in Oakley, they will be playing more of their matches in September than they have in a few years. They also have two new coaches to the staff in Lauren Robinson and Sarah McCormick.
