GWAC All-League Basketball selections announced
The Great West Activities Conference has released their All-League basketball selections for the 2025-26 season.
Starting off with the boys, Hugoton recevied five selections, with two on the first team, while Holcomb had two of their four selections on the first team. Colby, Goodland, Scott City and Ulysses had two players selected and Cimarron had one player selected. Hugoton won the GWAC title, and placed third in the Class 4A State Tournament. Both Holcomb and Scott City were state qualifiers, losing in the first round. Six of the seven GWAC teams won at least 10 games this year. Jordan Jones of Colby was chosen as the GWAC Player of the Year.
On the girls side, both Goodand and Holcomb garnered four selections, with two picked for the first team. Colby and Hugoton had three selections, while Scott City had two and Cimarron and Ulysses had one selection. Holcomb was the GWAC champion this year, and placed fourth in the Class 3A State Tournament. Goodland and Hugoton reached the sub-state championship game in their respective classifications. Holcomb’s Jaylee Wickwar was selected as the GWAC Player of the Year.
