Western Kansas women injured after rear end collision on K-4

Scott County, Kan (WesternKansasNews.Com) – The Kansas Highway Patrol says one women is in the hospital after a serious crash in Scott County that closed highway traffic for a several hours.

The crash happened around 7:50 PM on K-4 and Taos Road or 8 miles east of Scott City. According to the KHP, a 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse and Peterbuilt Semi were Westbound on Kansas Highway 4. The Semi was slowing to make a right hand turn onto Taos Road when the Mitsubishi rear-ended the semi West of the intersection. 

The driver of the Mitsubushi, Tiffany King, 44, Healy Kansas, was taken to Scott County Hospital with suspected serious injuries. The driver of the semi was not injured during the crash. King was not wearing a seatbelt according to the KHP
