Garden City High School Student Programs CNC Machine

garden city public schools

Garden City High School’s Advanced Drafting program student Eli Steinmetz, a senior, was the first student at the school to draw and program the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine to manufacture his name using the machine. The CNC program teaches students advanced manufacturing skills using a Laguna machine. This helps students gain real-world experience and prepare for careers.

The CNC machine is becoming an essential part of the high school’s educational system. A future in the ever-growing field of modern manufacturing depends on training programs in the classroom and hands-on experience with the latest educational CNC machines.

Garden City High School has created this program to help students explore their career opportunities at an early age. Having the CNC machine in the high school class allows students to learn how to use the machine and be creative.
