City of Garden City warning citizens of scam emails

Garden City, Kan.–Several residents have reported receiving emails claiming to be from the Garden City Planning Commission, requesting payment of an application fee to move a project forward. These messages did not come from any official City of Garden City email account and are scams!

The City will never request fees through unsolicited emails. Official correspondence will either be mailed on formal city letterhead or sent through an authorized email address that includes an official City of Garden City email signature.
