Garden City to play Wichita Southeast back-to-back games:

On Friday night, Garden City ended their regular season on the road against Wichita Southeast, losing both games of a double header. The girls’ team lost 51-40, and now will get set to host Wichita Southeast in the No.8 vs No.9 seed matchup of the first round. That game will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday night, with the winner taking on the winner of No.1 seed Wichita Heights and No.16 Wichita Northwest on Friday night.

The Garden City boys will also get a chance to avenge their overtime loss to Wichita Southeast, as they will get another chance as the No. 10 seed against No. 7 Wichita Southeast at 6 p.m. on Wednesday night. The winner will play the winner of No. 2 Wichita Heights and No. 15 Wichita South at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Dodge City to go on the road:

The Dodge City teams will both be on the road for the first round, as the Lady Demons (No.12 seed) will take on No. 5 seed Wichita East at 6 p.m. on Tuesday night. No. 4 seed Manhattan will host No.13 seed Lawrence Free State at the same time, as the winners of each of those matchups will meet at 6 p.m. on Friday.

The Dodge City (No.11 seed) boys are going up against a familiar opponent in the first round, taking on No.6 seed Junction City. The two met on Dec. 13 in Junction City, with the Blue Jays winning 65-46. The Demons will look to even the season series at 6 p.m. Wednesday night. The winner of that game takes on the winner of No. 3 seed Derby and No. 14 seed Lawrence Free State.
