U.S. 54 temporarily reduced to one lane in Seward County

U.S. 54 will be reduced to one lane with flaggers in place approximately 10 miles east of Liberal at the Cimmaron River bridge beginning at approximately 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
Crews will be pouring concrete and are expected to complete the pour and re-open to two-lane traffic late Thursday night.
Motorists are encouraged to buckle-up, obey work zone warning signs and expect delays in the area on Thursday evening.
Koss Construction Company of Topeka is the contractor on this $27 million project, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
