Scott City’s Strine signs with Kansas Wesleyan basketball

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–An inside presence over the past three seasons in the Great West Activities Conference has set her sights on the KCAC.

On March 9, Brooke Strine signed her letter of intent to play for Kansas Wesleyan University.

Strine started 63 games over three seasons for Scott City. Her senior season saw her average 14.8 points, 8.8 rebounds and averaged just under three blocks per game. She also had eight double-doubles and was named All-GWAC Honorable Mention.

She picked Kansas Wesleyan over Tabor and Sterling College.

At Kansas Wesleyan, Strine is planning on majoring in biomedical chemistry, and on to medical school, with the aspirations to be a neurosurgeon.
