Area athletes selected for 8-Man All-Star games

Several area athletes were recently selected to compete in the 8-Man All-Star games to be played in June.

Starting off with 8-Man, Division I, Wichita County had two selections with Cashton Young and Dylan Luna, while Kinsley had Gerardo Seanez, Meade’s Ashton Harjo, Asa Briscoe of South Gray, and Jonathan Froese of Sublette were all selected to represent the West Team. Head coach is South Central’s Brett Westrup, and Wichita County’s Brant Douglas.

For 8-Man, Division II, Hodgeman County had three selections with Carson Goebel, Devin Shank and Desmond Thomas, and Minneola had two selections with Tyson Klotz and Matthew Lane being selected. The head coach for the West is Matt Barnett of Central Christian.

The games will be held on Saturday, June 13 in Beloit with the Division I game kicking off at 10 a.m. and the Division II game following at 1:30 p.m.
