Winter storm forecast moves WAC opener 

The forecasted winter storm, the first of the season, has forced officials from Garden City High School and Great Bend High School to move the scheduled Friday (Jan. 9) games in Garden City to Thursday (Jan. 8). 

Game times, according to Matt Bayer, GCHS Athletics Director, will remain the same. 

Here are the schedules of games and the gyms in which they will play: 

Main Gym (The Garden) 

4:15 p.m.–Junior varsity girls 

6:00 p.m.–Varsity girls 

7:45 p.m.–Varsity boys 

Auxiliary Gymnasium 

4:15 p.m.–Junior varsity boys 

5:30 p.m.–Freshman boys 

7:15 p.m.–Freshman girls
