Bridge reconstruction in Dodge City to start Monday

Dodge City, Kan.–Starting Monday, the northbound bridge on 14th Avenue crossing the Arkansas Riverbed will be closed for complete reconstruction.

During construction, traffic will be shifted to the southbound bridge, allowing for one lane of northbound traffic and one lane of southbound traffic, as shown on the map below. This project is anticipated to be completed in July of 2027 and will result in a new northbound bridge crossing the riverbed.

While traveling through this area, the City of Dodge City asks all motorists to follow posted traffic control measures for your safety and the safety of others.
